Records: Record Anything, Connect Anything
Bring your information together and give it meaning through connections.
A person, a photograph, a project, an idea, a price offer: start by making it a record. Records is the place in WorkStudio where you can capture the information you care about and connect it to the other things it belongs with.
Record anything: use ready-made Types for common needs, or create Types and properties that fit your own information. A Type gives an item structure; its properties hold the details. You can begin with a small collection and extend it as your needs grow.
Connect anything: use Relations between records, Roles and attached Documents to keep the context around an item. Connect a person to relatives and photographs, an organisation to contacts, or a project to resources, prices and supporting evidence. Connections use the supported record relationships and respect the working context and access rights.
For your company, follow Build a Complete Priced Company Project. It links Resources to Breakdowns, BOQ items and the Project, with supporting price offers. Use Container / Package to organise documents and prepare a PDF package.
For your personal information, begin with a family archive, a movie collection, notes or a timetable. Build Your First Family Collection shows how records become a connected family story.
Start small: Create Your First Record, Connect a Record to People, Documents, and Other Records, then Save Records and Control Access.
