People, Companies, and Working Relationships
Build a shared directory with reusable contact information, project roles, documents, and two-way relations.
Use Company records for organizations and Person records for individuals. Company properties can hold legal and contact information, a correspondent code, logo, and repeatable contact people. Person records separate personal and work information so each view can show only what is relevant.
Roles describe how a record acts in the current context, for example Client, Contractor, Supplier, Engineer, Supervisor, Correspondent, or Accountant. Relations connect records in both directions. A Person can be related to a Company as an employee or contact, and the Company can be opened from the same relationship.
Attach documents only where they belong and use Project membership when the person or company is specific to one project. Rights still decide which users can see each record Type.
