TOBJ
A full embedded TableStudio table stored inside the workbook, with its own rows, formulas, lookup rules, formatting, and exported values.
A TOBJ is a complete embedded TableStudio table stored inside the main .wstable file. It uses the same engine, formulas, lookup support, images, and editing behavior as the main workbook.
Use =TOBJ(code, exported value) when you want a cell to open a stored table object. If exported value is omitted, the main cell shows the object code itself. If exported value is provided, such as D2, the main cell shows the value exported from that object cell.
If you want only the exported value by code, without using the open/edit TOBJ form, you can write either ="AN001"(A1) or =TOBJVALUE("AN001",A1). In both forms, the TOBJ code is the source object and the cell reference is the exported cell inside that object.
The reusable clone form is =TOBJ(code, exported value, clone source cell). The clone source can be local such as A1 or cross-sheet such as SH6(A1). On first open, TableStudio clones that referenced object into the new code and then removes the clone parameter so the new TOBJ becomes independent.
Inside TOBJ workflows you can use explicit workbook scope in formulas: WB:SH1(A1) for main workbook sheets and OBJ:SH1(A1) for object-local sheets. That is especially useful with Lookup and FINDROW when an object needs to search both workbook-level and object-local data.
Right-click a TOBJ cell to Open Table Object or Edit Formula. The TOBJ popup auto-saves on close, uses the same paged print preparation as the main table, and recalculates exported values when upstream workbook or object data changes.
Deleting a TOBJ formula cell does not automatically delete the stored TOBJ state. To review stored objects, open File > File Settings and use Manage Table Objects.

Open a TOBJ by code
With =TOBJ(AN001), the workbook cell shows the object code and opens the embedded table object on click.
Export a value from inside the object
When an export cell is provided, the workbook shows the current value from that object cell instead of the code.
Clone from a template object on first open
A clone-source reference can seed a new TOBJ from another stored object the first time it is opened.
