Saving in TableStudio
Explains local save, personal save, company or project draft save, and how TableStudio load and save bindings work.
TableStudio uses a dedicated save window opened from File > Save. That window is split into Save to computer, Save in personal account, and Save in Company / Project.
Save to computer downloads a .wstable file directly to your device. This is the simplest local path and does not use remote tags or folders.
Save in personal account stores the table in your personal TS catalog. It uses the Tags and Folders from your personal TableStudio system tables and offers Update personal save plus Save as new in personal account.
Save in Company / Project stores a private draft in the selected company or project. The save window provides its own target picker, reloads Tags and Folders when that target changes, and offers Update draft plus Save draft as new.
These save modes are separate from the toolbar context. Save in personal account always targets Personal, while draft save can still be used even if the toolbar context is currently Personal, as long as at least one company or project target is available in the save window.
Open Tags and Open Folders inside the save window open the relevant source tables in a new TableStudio tab so you can edit those lists without leaving the workbook. Save as new creates a new saved document instead of updating the current binding, and if the same file name already exists in the selected location, TableStudio asks whether it should overwrite it.
Personal and draft saves use the dedicated TableStudio catalog and storage area under TS; they are not FileStudio records. Remote load mirrors the same structure with Computer, Personal, and Company / Project tabs.
