Column Type: Currency
Currency-aware numeric columns with fixed or multi-currency behavior and automatic conversion to the display currency.
Use the currency column type when values represent money and should follow the file currency settings.
File-wide currencies are managed in File > File Settings, where you define the currency code, symbol, and exchange rate versus the main currency. A currency column can run in fixed-currency mode or in Multi Currency mode.
In a fixed-currency column, plain input such as 5 is treated as that column currency. If you type another recognized currency such as 5 EUR into a USD column, TableStudio converts it and displays the result in the column currency.
In Multi Currency, each row can keep its own recognized currency such as 5 EUR, 5 E, or EUR 5. Formula results still display using the target column's currency rules. The current defaults use 2 decimals for currency columns.
Fixed and converted money values
Currency columns keep money readable and consistent even when users type recognized values in another currency.
